Tennessee Knife Company brings American craftsmanship, outdoor tradition, and community stories together in one mobile app for a veteran- and family-owned knife maker in Smithville, Tennessee.
Customers browse the knife collection, review specifications, options, and pricing, add to cart, and securely complete purchases. They can also learn about the First Blade Program — the company's mission to place first blades into the hands of young hunters and outdoorsmen through approved families, mentors, events, and outdoor programs.
The Hall of Honor holds moderated stories from the community: first hunts, first knives, family traditions, and veterans. Registered users submit their own stories, photos, and video links for review, track submission status, and make requested edits before a story is published. Accounts also carry order history and product-release updates.
— Responsibilities
- Built the React Native app end to end: Shopify-backed storefront, cart, secure checkout, and customer accounts with order history
- Designed the catalog, product detail, search, and availability / price filters, plus the First Blade Program section, in a dark, story-first brand style
- Implemented the Hall of Honor submission flow — stories, photos, and video links with edit-on-request and status updates — behind a moderation gate before publish
- Wired sign in / create account, submission-status updates, and consistent navigation across the six-tab structure
